Neige a donner

Christmas

Today is Christmas! So it all began when I woke up. It was 7:30 and I was told to stay in bed till 8 but I heard people downstairs so I joined. There was mother and good old Bri guy having tea. We waited impatiently for the others to begin the opening of presents, essentially, the true meaning of Christmas. Once Kevin took hours to wake up, we finaly began. So lets start with what I got from my godfather who sent his present from France. He gave me French funny commic books of Pico Bogue. Next, my aunt & "uncle" gave me sweat pants that I needed for boot camp and a cool 3D, circular, maze. My kid Brother Karl gave me head phones with noise cancellation, meaning I don't have to hear my crazy family when I'm listening to my new iPod touch courtesy of my parents. Big shoutout for the Ennis family, the whole family benefited from their presents and was the origin of a very funny picture!!!

Kisses/Bisous/Besos (for latino followers)

Visit from my cousin

On Sunday afternoon, my baby cousin Tommy arrived for a visit with his mum, dad and grandma. I missed the arrival because I was making cookies at a friend's house but I still got to see him. When I arrived he was running in circles around our living room on his tippy toes. We gave him a Mr Potato Head for an early Christmas present which he adored. We also let him play with other old toys we have. He loved anything we gave him. He is so cute and we had a blast.

Swim meet

Today I had a swim meet at Bensonville, which is about 30 minutes away from Arlington Heights. At the swimming pool there was an ice rink in the same complex with ice-hockey games being played. The pool had 8 lanes compared to ours with only 6. Their team only had about 7 people when our team had about 25 swimmers. I was swimming fly in a medley relay, 100m I.M., 50m back, and in the free relay. Everything went fast because of the many lanes and because of the few swimmers. In my first race, medly relay, me and team won first place. I also won first place in my 100m I.M. just with the freestyle. Then I got second in my 50m fly. In my free relay we finished last sniff.

First concert of the Year

Monday was my concert for symphonic band. I dressed in black pants and shoes, white buttoned shirt and topped off with a Wallace and Grommet tie. Once that was done we went to school and got ready to perform in the commons. Once I got my enormous Bari sax out of its case ready to play, we got on stage. We played after the fifth graders. We played 4 pieces directed by Ms. Horton (our band director) : U.S. Field Artilary March, Storm Clouds, Arocknophobia and Winter Holidays. We all felt that we sounded pretty good.

Bisous to everyone

Spectacle a conseiller a tous!
